Round 11 Ins & Outs

The Box Hill Hawks tackle North Melbourne on Sunday afternoon, boasting the second best active form-line in the competition – a five-and-one record over the past six rounds – and hot on the heels of a log jam of quality teams in and around the top eight.

Clint Proctor and his match committee have submitted an extended 30-man squad, which at this stage includes a number of senior listed Hawks who will line-up at the MCG against Collingwood.

There are a handful of changes to the side that bested the Suns last weekend, with AFL Hawks Kyle Hartigan and Seamus Mitchell joined by their VFL teammates Vincent Adduci and Mason De Wit among the early outs.

Daniel Howe, Denver Grainger-Barrass, Finn Maginness and Josh Morris have all been named as ins, though the needs of Sam Mitchell’s senior side will naturally dictate and inform the final composition of Box Hill’s line-up.

They’re joined by the exciting Jake Arundell, who has been confirmed to be making his VFL debut. A clever, classy small forward out of Eastern Ranges, ‘Snake’  is currently tied to Rowville at community clubs level.

Arundell joined the Hawks part-way through the 2021 season and gets his chance after a run of good form for Rowville.

A host of youngsters have been named on the Hawks’ extended bench, with more potential debutants in the form of Sahaf Ali, Cayden Maki and Mitchell Sruk. That trio has been named alongside fellow developing talent in Charlie Beasley, Lachie Wynd and Luis D’Angelo.

The Hawks’ final team will be confirmed at 12:30 pm on Sunday, with the first bounce to follow at 1:05pm.
