BOARD OF DIRECTORS
After an extensive career in senior corporate roles with a specialisation in the Asia Pacific region, Ed now heads up Trinity Capital and Advisory, a Private Capital firm with interests in Waste and Recycling Management, Infrastructure and Construction.
He has previously spent a number of years on the Box Hill Hawks Board as well as having stints as President at Hawthorn Amateur Football Club (affiliated to the VAFA), Annecto – a not for profit organisation supporting those with disabilities and has previously been President of Hawthorn’s most prominent Coterie group, the Confreres.

Carli joined the Box Hill board in 2021 and is the General Manager of the Process Food segment of Pact Group, a market leader in rigid plastic packaging. With extensive experience in business to business marketing and general management, Carli is working with the team to develop our membership, communication and community focus. Carli has a Masters in Marketing and a Bachelor of Commerce.

David joined the Box Hill Hawks board of directors in January 2019. He comes from a strong finance background and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance, he is a CPA and Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. David owned and was Managing Director of SlumberTrek Australia until 2021.
As the General Manager – Football Operations at Hawthorn FC, Max plays an integral role across the club’s AFL, VFL and VFLW teams. He is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the football department, including managing key football resources and programs.
Max returns to Box Hill after success in the 2018 VFL Premiership as Assistant Coach and returned in 2019 and 2020 as VFL Senior Head Coach.
John is a life-long supporter of Box Hill Football Club and was a Director from 1989 to 2011 prior to rejoining the Board in August 2018. He served as Treasurer from 1990 to 2002 and President from 2003 to 2010. He was a foundation Director of the Box Hill Hawks in 2000. John is a graduate engineer and holds a Masters Degree in Engineering Science. He is Group General Manager of Deer Park Oil Tools Pty Ltd.
Wayne has had an extensive 38-year career at Coles Myer Group. He served in a range of roles including General Manager. Wayne is a former Secretary and Treasurer at the Melton South Football Club and the former Treasure of the Mitcham Cricket Club. He has completed a Master of Business Administration and was appointed to the Box Hill Board on the 28th of February 2019.
Josh Vanderloo is the General Manager – Operations & Major Projects at the Hawthorn FC. His role is to ensure all areas of the business are operating optimally whilst currently having a large focus on putting together the Club’s AFLW team. Prior to his time at Hawthorn he spent 15 years at the AFL in roles spanning Game Development, Women’s Football, List Management and various areas of Football Operations.
Diana joined the Box Hill board of directors in March, 2022.
Diana Lin has a rich 29 years banking background in both China ( the last role was a Sales Director) and Australia, currently a Lending Executive.
Diana holds degrees in Bachelor of Finance and Economics. She is a CFP recipient – having received the Certificate of Financial Planning and the Certificate of People Leadership in Banking in Australia. she is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
She is a founding board member of Australian Asian Business Women Association, the former PRO of Chinese Association of Victoria and is currently the founder and Advisory Board Member of Executive Wealth Circle and the 1st Vice Present of EWC Australian Community Engagement.
Since elected as the Executive Vice President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Victoria, Diana officially joined AFL Aus-China Strategy Team in 2020 and a Community Engagement Ambassador for Department of Health Victoria in 2021.
