TEAMS: VFLW Round 11
Can our VFL Women’s make it three-in-a-row in their Round 11 clash against traditional rivals Geelong?
After breaking their duck against the Seaford Tigerettes, the Hawks put together their most complete performance yet against the Cranbourne Eagles in Round 10. Controlling play for much of the match and adjusting to both their opposition and tricky windy conditions, Box Hill were so impressive in their 22-point win that it was hard to believe the Eagles had won their initial encounter back in Round 4.
Going all the way back to Round 1 when Box Hill lost their first match to Geelong by 56 points is a reminder of how far this side has come. It goes without saying that Saturday’s match from 11.45 at Box Hill City Oval will be an entirely different ball game: not only have the Hawks coalesced into a disciplined and dangerous unit, but the Cats are missing several key players.
Box Hill will go into their Round 11 clash unchanged although Kara Henderson and Ysabelle Price remain outside chances to make their VFLW debut after being named as emergencies for the first time this season.
Please note: final teams announced prior to the bounce.
