Development Defeat Frankston for Second Time

For the second time this season, the Box Hill Development team recorded a win against the Frankston Dolphins at Frankston Oval, ending the match 52-point winners.

After controlling the majority of the first three quarters, the Hawks stormed home in the final term, kicking seven goals to Frankston’s one.

Keeping Frankston to just one goal in the first half of the game, Box Hill’s pressure and intensity around the ball proved too strong.

Hawthorn’s Irish recruit Conor Glass played his first game of AFL footy and worked his way into the game with some early touches. Playing out of the backline throughout the match, Glass provided great run off half back and used the ball cleanly to the Hawks advantage.

Lachlan Langford kicked accurately throughout the match slotting four majors, whilst Liam Kidd, Jake Kidd and Matthew Traynor each managed two goals to their name.

Next week the Development team takes on Werribee on Saturday 23rd July at 11.00am at Avalon Airport Oval.
