VFL team: Round 6
The Box Hill Hawks’ line up will feature a four-time AFL premiership player this weekend, after Jarryd Roughead was omitted from Hawthorn’s Round 8 side.
Roughead will join the likes of Ryan Schoenmakers, Harry Morrison* and David Mirra as the experienced AFL talent in Max Bailey’s side.
Such experience will certainly be handy, with Box Hill set to play on the hallowed MCG turf in an AFL curtain raiser.
The extended squad currently features 24 senior-listed players, with Skipper Andrew Moore, Connor Byrne, Luke Meadows, Tom Maloney, Brayden Kilpatrick, Damian Mascitti and Danyon Reinbold flying the flag for the Box Hill listed group.
The third-placed Hawks will take on fourth-placed Footscray, with just percentage currently separating the two sides after four games.
The final team will be determined ahead of the first bounce.
