Four Ins for Giants Test
The Box Hill Hawks have named four changes for Sunday’s visit of the GWS Giants, including reinforcements at either end of the field and a pair of exciting debutants.
Jasper Scaife, the Hawks’ mid-season draft pick, will make his bow in brown and gold and he’ll be joined by Hawks Academy and Eastern Ranges prospect Cody Anderson. Out of Healesville, Anderson is a 181cm midfielder and has been selected as the team’s 23rd man.
Jai Serong has recovered from the concussion which ruled him out of last weekend’s trip to Windy Hill, while high-flying swingman Jaylon Thorpe has shaken off the hamstring complaint which has kept him sidelined since the Hawks’ trip to Gold Coast in round three.
The in-form Cal Brown has picked up a slight knock and wont be risked, while Nathan Philactides also misses due to injury. Developing talls Josh Tovey and Jett Latchford have been omitted on balance.
Nick Watson, Max Ramsden and Harry Morrison have each been named as emergencies for Hawthorn’s hit-out with the Giants on Saturday, but will suit up on Sunday if not required by Sam Mitchell’s senior side.
Any changes to Box Hill’s selected side will be communicated prior to Sunday’s first bounce, scheduled for 2:05pm.
