Two selected in VFL Team of the Year
The Box Hill Hawks have had two inclusions in the Smithy’s 2023 VFL Team of the Year.
The selected duo include VFL-listed star, Callum Brown and Hawthorn-listed big man Brandon Ryan.
Brown had an outstanding first year in the brown and gold, playing 21 of a possible 22 regular season games, earning himself a spot on the half back flank.
While Ryan finished his year with the Hawks, having started the season with the Northern Bullants before going pick #12 in the Mid-Season Rookie Draft. He played a combined 15 VFL games for the year and was named at centre half forward.
The duo are a chance to feature in the Col Austen Trophy and Awards Night next week.
