Round 7 Team Announcement

This weekend’s match against top-of-the-ladder Casey Scorpions sees little change to both Box Hill squads.

Mulitple changes have been made in the VFL side, with Billy Murphy also named as the 23rd Man in his Seniors debut as a replacement for last week’s 23rd Man Liam Kidd. Hawthorn-listed players Jonathan O’Rourke and Ryan Schoenmakers return to Box Hill from injury this week, whilst Jack Fitzpatrick is out of the side.

Our Round 7 game is sure to be a big one, with Captain David Mirra playing his 100th VFL game. An achievement not reached by many, Mirra is only the 29th player to ever reach the milestone. After making his Senior debut in Round 4, 2010 as a 23rd Man, Mirra is now also only the fourth player of the club to ever Captain the team on more than 50 occasions.

In other exciting news, two Eastern Ranges players, Liam Jeffs and Kane Keppel, who have previously played Development games for Box Hill as a 23rd Man, have been promoted.

Saturday’s games will take place at Casey Fields, with the Development team kicking things off at 4.00pm, and the Seniors following at 7.00pm.
