Small forward duo locked in

Box Hill has secured two key pieces of its small forward brigade ahead of the 2020 season.

A young pair that have shown promise in their senior stints to date, Vincent Adduci and Mackenzie Doreian have committed to the Hawks.

Standing at 177cm tall, Adduci took strides in his game in 2019, with the 21-year-old playing 11 games across the season playing predominantly as a small forward.

Meanwhile Doreian, an Eastern Ranges product, has played eight games in his first two seasons at City Oval.

GM – VFL and VFLW Football Daniel Napoli said signing the duo was an important step in investing in the future of the club.

“These two were really important signings for us to shore up our forward make-up,” Napoli said.

“Both have shown the ability to match it at senior level early in their careers.

“They are also great cultural fits for our club so we are really excited to be able to lock these two up.”

After their first year at Box Hill, Mason DeWit and Connor Byrne, who both featured in six games this year, will pull on the brown and gold again while Aaron Cotte has also committed to the Hawks.
