Lindsay Wilson awarded Alec Gillon Award

Long-time volunteer of the Box Hill Hawks, Lindsay Wilson, was acknowledged for his selfless and tireless work at the VFL JJ. Liston medal night.

Lindsay was awarded the Alec Gillon Award for Season 2017 which is awarded annually by AFL Victoria to an honorary club official who has provided outstandng service to Victorian Football.

Lindsay’s contribution to the Box Hill Football Club spans over 50 years of service. He first began as a player in our thirds team in 1967, before beginning his role as a volunteer. Every home game, Lindsay greets players, supporters and staff with a smile at the Davey St entrance to Box Hill City Oval. Lindsay’s time and commitment is sincerely appreciated by all at the club.
