Community Clubs June 4
After last weeks quiet week of Community Club Footy, its great to see more of our Hawks back out on the field playing in their local colours. Despite some rough weather conditions, once again there were many wins across the board between our VFLW and VFL players.
VFL: In Round 8 of the Eastern Football Netball League, Billy Hicks and the Blackburn Seniors had a great win over the Doncaster East Seniors after defeating them by 28 points, 13.11 (89) to 8.13 (61). Billy had a ripper game despite the wet weather, kicking 2 goals which 1 of them was the sealer.
Noah Burke and the Vermont Seniors had an easy 98 point win on Saturday against the Norwood Seniors, with Noah kicking 3 of their goals, 19.9 (123) to 3.7 (25). Noah also received best player on the day.
Lachie Guymer and the East Ringwood Seniors had an awesome win against the Rowville Seniors after beating them by 37 points, 13.7 (85) to 6. 12 (48). Lachie had a strong hunger for the contest, which contributed to a great game and his overall performance.
The Mooroolbark Seniors and Jye Peacock had a huge win over the Doncaster Seniors, defeating them by 54 points in Round 9, 5.8 (98) to 6.8 (44). With 29 possessions, Jye had a strong game which resulted in a goal and a spot in the best player list.
In Round 8 of the Northern Football Netball League, Kye Agosta and the Hurstbridge Seniors faced a close loss against North Heidelberg after losing by just 8 points, 11.9 (75) to 12.11 (83). Kye had a positive impact on the game with a great performance as he kicked 2 goals.
Ben De Bolfo and the Heidelberg Seniors were able to secure the win, defeating Eltham by a whopping 115 points, 19.16 (130) to 2.3 (15). Ben kicked 1 goal.
In Round 8 of the Ovens & Murray Football Netball League, Toby Cossor and the Myrtleford Seniors were unable to take home a win, after losing to Wangaratta Rovers by 15 points, 2.6 (78) to 14.9 (93).
In Round 8 of the Gippsland Football Netball League, Zachary Felsbourg and the Maffra Seniors had a hard loss against Traralgon, 10.12 (72) to 16.9 (105). Zach was 3rd named in the best player list.
In Round 8 of the Victorian Amateur Football Association, Andreas Stefanakis and Old Haileybury defeated Old Ivanhoe by 24 points, 13.9 (67) to 9.9 (63). Dre scored 2 goals and received a mention in the best player list.
In Round 8 of the Gippsland League, Lane Ward and the Warragul Seniors had a solid 18 point win over Moe on the weekend, 12.6 (78) to 8.12 (60).
In Round 9 of the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League, Lachlan Bryce and Frankston YWSC had a tough 51 point loss against Rosebud, 11.6 (2) to 19.9 (123). Lachlan had a really great game with 1 goal and a mention in the best player list.
Seth Harris and the Frankston Bombers lost by 23 points against the Sorrento Seniors on Saturday, 6.11 (47) to 10.10 (70).
VFLW: In Round 8 of the Victorian Amateur Football Association, Taylah Canobie, Tess Cattle and the St Kevins Seniors defeated the Coburg Seniors by 27 points, 8.9 (57) to 5.0 (30). Tess received best player on the day.
The Collegians Seniors with Tayissa Gray emerged victorious on Saturday, after beating Monash Blues by a massive 85 points, 14.13 (97) to 2.0 (12).
The Old Scotch Seniors with Jade Wise and Bella Gray had a great win over the Caulfield Grammarians, after defeating them by 65 points, 15.9 (99) to 5.4 (34). Jade snagged a goal and secured a spot in the best player list, along with Bella.
The Old Yarra Cobras with Mikayla Lee, Amber Sciacca and Erin Woodford were unable to secure the win, after losing to West Brunswick Seniors by 18 points, 5.3 (33) to 7.9 (51). Despite the loss, Mikayla kicked a goal and was named in the best player list.
Ashley Van Rooyen and the Beaumaris Seniors faced a tough loss against the Williamstown CYMS Seniors, after losing by 49 points on the weekend, 1.3 (9) to 9.4 (58).
In Round 7 of the Eastern Football Netball League, Torey Burns and the South Croydon Seniors had a huge win against Boronia Seniors, defeating them by 82 points,15.6 (96) to 2.2 (14). Torey received a mention in the best player list.
In Round 9 of the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League, Alisha Molesworth, Chloe Bailey, Elise Molesworth and the Warragul Industrials had a strong win over Mornington FNC, 13.11 (89) to 1.2 (8). Alisha, Chloe and Elise all kicked a goal each, with Alisha and Elise also receiving a spot in the best player list.
In Round 8 of the Outer East Football Netball League, Lily Carlin and Olinda Ferny Creek were defeated by Upwey Tecoma Seniors by just 5 points, 4.2 (26) to 5.1 (31). Lily was. 1 of 6 who received best player.
Sky Wilson and Woori Yallock Seniors had an 11 point win over Wandin Seniors, 4.4 (28) to 2.5 (17). Sky Wilson kicked a goal and was 1st named in the best player list.
In Round 8 of the Essendon District Football League, Grace Matser and the Greenvale Seniors had a big victory against Airport West, defeating them by 64 points, 10.7 (67) to 0.3 (3). Grace received best player on the day.
In Round 9 of Coates Talent League, Georgia Templeton and the Dandenong Stingrays had a 44 point win over the GWV Rebels, 8.6 (54) to 1.4 (10).
