Community Clubs June 11
Only a handful of games this week, as the long weekend was a quiet one for local footy. Hopefully our Hawks used it as a good opportunity to get their rest up and enjoy a short break.
VFL: In Round 9 of the Gippsland League, Seb Amoroso and the Drouin Seniors had an hard loss against Leongatha, losing by 65 points, 6.13 (49) to 17.12 (114).
Zach Felsbourg and the Maffra Seniors defeated Warragul by 21 points over the weekend, 10.12 (72) to 7.9 (51).
In Round 9 of the Ovens & Murray Football Netball League, the Myrtleford Seniors with Toby Cossor had a 15 point victory over Albury Seniors, 12.12 (84) to 10.9 (69). Toby played a really competitive game with great disposals, marks and even a goal to get the teams momentum thriving. Toby received a spot in the best player list for Saturday’s game
In Round 9 of the West-Gippsland Football Netball League, Daniel Bourke and the Phillip Island Seniors had a huge 71 point win over Garfield, 16.16 (112) to 6.5 (41).
In Round 10 of the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League, Heath Bidgood and the Frankston YWC had a solid 35 point win against the Pines FNC Seniors, 12.17 (89) to 8.6 (54).
