Club Statement: Clint Proctor

Following changes to the Hawthorn Football Club’s Football Department structure, the Box Hill Hawks wish to advise that Clint Proctor has stood down from his role as Senior Coach.

Moving into 2023, these changes will see the role designated as full time within the Hawthorn program.

Although passionate about coaching and the opportunity to continue, Proctor determined the full time nature of this role was a commitment which clashed with existing responsibilities in his professional and private life.

Having joined the Club as a forwards coach for the 2021 VFL season, ‘Proc’ quickly endeared himself to and was embraced by the Box Hill family.

Although brief, his time at City Oval is marked by the relationships he forged and maintained at all levels of the Club.

Box Hill Hawks President Ed Sill spoke to Proctor’s time at the Club.

“It’s sad day to be losing a person of Clint’s character,” Sill said.

“But I’m proud to say he leaves such a positive legacy at our football club.

“On behalf of the Box Hill Hawks I’d like to recognise his wonderful contributions to not only our football program but also our culture.

“I’d also like to extend our thanks to Clint’s wife, Kirsty, and sincerely hope they know they’re forever part of the Hawks family.”

Regarding the position of Senior Coach for the 2023 season, an announcement will be made in due course.
