Hawks Make Five Changes Ahead of Sharks Stoush
The Hawks have made five changes ahead of Saturday’s sunshine state showdown with the Southport Sharks.
Bailey Macdonald headlines the five names to join up with the Box Hill squad, and his addition sits alongside developing VFL talents Nathan Philactides, Jack Sammartino, Blake Simondson and, debutant Will Kellar.
Kellar’s addition is a wonderful story, with the ACT product upping stumps and moving to Melbourne to pursue his football dream at the end of 2024. Currently tied to Mitcham, Kellar starred in the Queanbeyan Tigers’ 2024 premiership win in Canberra, booting three goals in the third term and four for the match as his side got the better of Eastlake to hoist the cup.
Out of the team which bested Williamstown a fortnight ago are the the injured duo of Cody Anderson & Seamus Mitchell, who are each nursing niggles, Sam Durdin, who is battling illness, Ben Cavarra, who has been managed, and Jack Baldwin.
The Hawks’ final team will be announced prior to Saturday’s first bounce, which is scheduled for 11:35am.
