VFLW Round 10 Match Preview

Box Hill will be aiming to back up its heartstopping win over Carlton last round when it takes on North Melbourne at Arden Street Oval on Saturday.

The match will be a battle between the fourth and tenth-placed sides, with the Hawks looking to consolidate a spot in the top six.

Check out everything you need to know about the game below.

Who: North Melbourne

Where: Arden Street Oval

When: Saturday 27 May at 2pm

At A Glance

Box Hill recorded a resounding victory over North Melbourne last time these two teams met.

The Hawks won by 47 points at Trevor Barker Beach Oval in Round 6, with Jordan Mifsud among the best players on the day.

This time around, the Hawks will be aiming to win consecutive games after going from a win over Darebin in Round 7 to a loss against Essendon in Round 8 and a win over Carlton in Round 9.

The Kangaroos put up a good fight against Casey last week but fell short by 13 points.

Overall, their record is four wins and five losses for the season.

Ones To Watch

The combination of Maddie Boyd and Amanda Tessari will be one to watch.

Both players are known goalkickers with an ability to pinch-hit in the ruck.

Tessari came into the side for Boyd last week, who was a late omission, and recorded 13 disposals to go with three marks.

The duo haven’t played together since Round 1 so it will be interesting to see how Cherie O’Neill moves the magnets come Saturday.

For North, Emily Paterno is the league’s leading goalkicker with nine majors.

Playing in all nine games for the Kangaroos this season, Paterno has kicked a goal in six of those appearances.
