VFLW R7 team: Young guns on display with four Ranges stars selected

Box Hill’s partnership with the Eastern Ranges will be on display this Saturday, 10.30am against Darebin at Preston City Oval, with four young stars set to shine on the VFLW stage.

Eastern products Jess Vukic, Alyssia Pisano, Laura Stone and Ava Campbell have all been selected for the Hawks’ Round 7 side, while fellow young guns Drew Ryan and Caitlin Thorne also return to the line-up.

Pisano is currently leading the goalkicking in the Coates Talent League Girls competition with 16 for the season while Stone leads the way for inside 50s, averaging 7.3 per game.

Vukic has been impressing in the ruck, averaging 13 hit-outs per game while Campbell averages 17 disposals per game.

Unfortunately, experienced trio Chantella Perera, Nadia von Bertouch and Grace Matser will be sidelined for the Falcons clash due to injury, while Emily Everist, Sophie Locke and Jordan Mifsud will also miss.
