Three Changes For Visit of Williamstown
The Box Hill Hawks have made three enforced changes to the side which defeated North Melbourne last weekend, having lost Ned Reeves, Josh Bennetts and Ed Phillips to injury.
Into the side for Sunday’s visit of Williamstown come young midfielder Cam Mackenzie, mid-season draftee Jasper Scaife and developing utility Kye Agosta – who comes into the 23 for his second game of the VFL season, and his first since the round four win over North Melbourne.
Mackenzie returns for his ninth game at VFL level, and his first for 2024, while Scaife is back in the mix following a finger injury which has sidelined him for the past fortnight.
Sadly, the team with be without the aforementioned injured trio of Reeves, Bennetts and Phillips.
Bennetts’ suffered a dislocated shoulder in the win at Arden Street and will sit out Sunday’s match while a return to play timeline is determined.
Phillips, meanwhile, copped a nasty rolled ankle and, like Bennetts, is in the early stages of a rehabilitation program which will determine when he’s fit and able to resume.
Elsewhere, Billy Hicks has retained his place as the side’s 23rd man following an encouraging debut last weekend and Will McCabe will continue to ramp up his involvement following a two games on managed minutes.
The action is set to get underway at Box Hill City Oval from midday on Sunday, with the contest to be broadcast on Channel 7.
Any changes to the selected 23 will be communicated prior to the first bounce.
