VFL Round Team: Mascitti In

The Box Hill Hawks have made three changes ahead of Saturday’s early start against Richmond.

Damian Mascitti, fresh from his first appearance in the coaches box last weekend, comes into the 23-man squad and the former captain and best & fairest winner is joined among the additions by James Blanck and Lloyd Meek.

Blanck is back on the park having sat out of football altogether last weekend with a head knock, while Meek, a late call-up to the senior side’s win over North Melbourne, returns to the VFL set-up for our hit-out with the Tigers.

Among the outs are Henry Hustwaite, Changkuoth Jiath, who aggravated a groin injury in the first half last week and Jaylon Thorpe, who picked up a knock against North Melbourne.

In positive news, Co-Captian Hugh Beasley has been named among Box Hill’s emergencies, indicating a return from a knee complaint picked up against Gold Coast isn’t far away.

Saturday’s first bounce is scheduled for 10:05am at the Swinburne Centre, with the Hawks’ final team to be confirmed prior to the first bounce.
