Hawks Set For GIANT Test

Box Hill have made five changes to the side tasked with beating the GIANTS in Sydney on Saturday, regaining a hard-nosed back, a classy small, a versatile swing man, no.1 ruckman and a  promising ruck-forward.

Tristan Waack returns to the squad as the Hawks’ 23rd man, a role he last played back in round five.

He is joined in the match day squad by Emerson Jeka, who resumes following a frustrating and stop-start bout with injury. He’s been named in Box Hill’s submitted team down back, though could play forward if the situation dictates he’s needed there.

Jeka is joined in the squad by Max Ramsden and Sam Butler, two youngsters who’ve provided Zane Littlejohn and his coaches excellent avenues to goal when they’ve turned out in the VFL.

Lloyd Meek is a significant inclusion and will shoulder the Hawks’ ruck duties.

Sadly, Jaylon Thorpe didn’t make the trip to Sydney as he nurses a minor knock, while Kye Agosta and Darcy Murr, a pair which made their VFL debuts last weekend, both miss; Agosta due to concussion and Murr, unfortunately, on team balance.

A four gour-goal hero last weekend for Box Hill, Denver Grainger-Barras has won himself a recall to the senior side, while Changkuoth Jiath misses due to injury.

Tomorrow’s match-up is scheduled to begin at 12:55pm. Hawks fans can catch all the action via the AFL’s match centre at this link.
