Selection: Hawks Set for Prelim Replay Against Footscray
The Box Hill Hawks return to Box Hill City Oval this Saturday afternoon for a Round 11 clash with the Footscray Bulldogs, as the brown and gold look to continue building momentum in the 2026 VFL season.
Back on home turf at Box Hill City Oval, the Hawks will be aiming to produce another strong performance against a Footscray side that has regularly featured among the competition’s top contenders.
The last time the two sides met came in the First Preliminary Final of the 2025 VFL season. On that occasion, Footscray ended Box Hill’s premiership hopes with a 31-point victory, prevailing 16.12 (108) to 11.11 (77) in a high-quality contest.
With that finals encounter still fresh in the memory, Saturday’s clash shapes as another fiercely contested battle between two of the VFL’s strongest sides, with the Hawks eager to defend their home ground and continue their push up the ladder.
Getting There
🚗 Driving: Box Hill City Oval is easily accessible by car, with limited parking available around the venue. Arriving early is recommended to secure a spot.
🚆 PTV: Catch a train to Box Hill Station via the Belgrave or Lilydale lines. From there, Box Hill City Oval is just a short walk away.
Street parking nearby will be limited, so please plan ahead and allow extra time.

With redevelopment works still underway, access will look a little different to previous home games.
All patrons must enter via the main gate, located on the corner of Middleborough Road and Whitehorse Road, opposite the intersection.
