Preliminary Final Information

Box Hill and Williamstown go head-to-head in a hotly anticipated Preliminary Final this Sunday for the right to contest the 2018 VFL ‘Love The Game’ Grand Final.

The match, staged at North Port oval, will be the first meeting between the two sides since the opening day of the 2018 season and their first finals contest since that late-September afternoon back in 2015, with Box Hill no doubt keen to ensure a different result to the one that saw the Seagulls claim the flag.

Box Hill arrive at this point in the season off the back of a sixth-placed finish and knockout finals victories against Port Melbourne and Geelong. Williamstown, on the other hand, have won their way to the last four as a result of a fourth-placed finish and stirring Qualifying Final victory over minor premiers Richmond.

The VFL action forms one part of a finals double header, with Geelong taking on Collingwood in a VFLW Preliminary Final prior.

Fans unable to attend the match will be able to follow all the action live on Channel 7 from 2pm or via their plus7 streaming service online. Additionally, radio coverage will be provided by 3WBC 94.1 FM.

You can also keep track of all the goings on via Box Hill’s official social media channels, with accounts of the game available on Twitter and Instagram.

Those planning on attending are encouraged to pre-book tickets. Entry starts at $15 for adults, $10 for all valid concession holders and children under the age of 15 are free, with tickets available via the link below.
