Local Level Highlight: Daniel Wood

This week, we’re shining a spotlight on a standout performer, who made a big impact for his local side. Our VFLW community clubs enjoyed BYE’s during the Easter break.
VFL, Daniel Wood – Blackburn (EFNL)
Woody had a terrific game for Blackburn on Good Friday afternoon, securing a Round 1 win against Balwyn, 12.9 (82) to 8.14 (62).
One of the most effective forwards of the game, and a strong competitor in the air, Woody snagged three goals in the first third.
In swirly conditions, he read the ball well. Moving to defence in the last quarter, Woody’s decisive marks at crucial times steadied the ship when Balwyn threatened.
