Community Clubs July 13

The Box Hill Hawks were again well represented over the weekend at Community Club level,
with a host of boys taking to the field in their local colours.

In the NAB League, Jed Rule and Will Sexton played with the Oakleigh Chargers who were narrowly
defeated by just six points by Max Walton and the Gippsland Power, 13.6 (84) to 11.12 (78).

While Sahaf Ali and the Eastern Ranges got up over the Western Jets by 52 points. The final score was
19.10 (124) to 11.6 (72).

In the Eastern Football Netball League Lachlan Wynd and Jake Arundell both lined up with their
Rowville Hawks in the Premier Division Seniors. It was a victory over South Croydon, with the final
score reading 11.16 (82) to 10.7 (67).

Of those 11 Hawks goals three were from Arundell, as his side’s leading goal kicker for the afternoon, he was also named fifth best on ground.

Mason Hawkins and Jimmy O’Connor again donned the Vermont guernsey in the EFNL Premier
Division Seniors against Norwood, however the Eagles suffered a 36-point loss, 12.12 (84) to 6.12
(48). Again, turning out in the ruck, Hawko delivered another strong performance and was named
third best player for Vermont.

While for Doncaster in the EFNL Premier Division Seniors, Campbell Tweedie played off half back
and helped his side to a victory. The Sharks defeated Berwick 11.7 (73) to 7.8 (50), and Tweedie was
instrumental in the win, being named best on ground for the clash.

Max Hall played with Montrose in the EFNL First Division Seniors, and it was a big win. They
defeated Upper Ferntree Gully by 91 points, 19.11 (125) to 5.4 (34) in the Round 13 clash. Hall was
named best afield for the Demons for his standout performance.

Also, in the ENFL First Division Seniors, Cayden Maki and Mooroolbark picked up where they left off
before their weekend off and managed another win – They finished 12.12 (84) to Lilydale’s 5.5 (35).
Maki was again impressive for the Mustangs, finishing sixth best for his side.

In the Gippsland League, Luis D’Angelo and David Brinker-Ritchie with Traralgon got back on the
winners list in Round 13 with a win over Moe, 15.9 (99) to 8.13 (61). D’Angelo booted two goals and
Brinker-Ritchie slotted one in their side’s victory.

Jack Hume also lined up in the Gippsland League with Leongatha, who took an impressive 87-point
win over Bairnsdale, 19.23 (137) to 8.2 (50).

Flynn Lakey lined up with Gisborne in Round 12 of the Bendigo Football Netball League. It was a day
out for the Bulldogs, securing a huge 117-point victory over Castlemaine, 21.11 (137) to 3.2 (20).
Playing out of the centre, Lakey was second-best on ground for his side in the win.

The Ballarat Football Netball League, saw Jayden Eales turn out with Sunbury. The Lions managed a
big score which resulted in a 64-point victory over Lake Wendouree, 22.11 (143) to 12.7 (79). Eales
added to the Lions score with a goal to his name.
