Community Clubs (August 2)

A few big wins across our boys’ games at Community Clubs level over the weekend, snags a
plenty and a few best players in the mix.

Max Walton again lined up with Gippsland Power in the NAB League, where they obtained a 100-
point win in Round 14. Their win came over the Northern Knights, 20.20 (140) to 6.4 (40).

It was a 110-point win for Lachlan Wynd, Jake Arundell and Mitchell Sruk with Rowville in the
Eastern Football Netball League Premier Division Seniors. They Hawks took on North Ringwood and
managed a substantial victory, 22.14 (146) to 5.6 (36), 16 of their 22 goals coming in the second half.

Sruk kicked a goal, while Arundell booted five and was named second best on ground.

In the EFNL Premier Division Seniors, Will Garner and Blackburn suffered a 24-point loss to
Doncaster East on Saturday afternoon, 14.14 (98) to 11.8 (74). Garner also booted two goals for the
Panthers in their loss.

Campbell Tweedie and Liam Coghlan lined up with Doncaster in the EFNL Premier Division Seniors.
The Sharks lost to Norwood by 51 points, 12.19 (91) to 5.10 (40).

In the EFNL First Division Seniors, Cayden Maki and Mooroolbark again managed a win, this time
over Bayswater – 12.14 (86) to 10.8 (68). Maki was back to his best over the weekend, booting two
goals being named best on ground.

In the EFNL First Division Seniors, Max Hall and Montrose took a 33-point win over Lilydale – 13.11
(89) to 8.8 (56). Hall managed a goal for the Demons in their victory.

Mason Hawkins played with Vermont in the EFNL Premier Division Seniors, they claimed a narrow victory over Park Orchards, 10.8 (68) to 9.10 (64). After what must’ve been another solid performance, Hawko was named best on ground for the second week running.

Jimmy O’Connor lined up with Vermont in the EFNL Premier Division Reserves, in which he and the Eagles defeated Park Orchards 9.6 (60) to 2.12 (24). O’Connor delivered a solid performance and earned himself third best afield in the win. 

In the Gippsland League, Luis D'Angelo and David Brinker-Ritchie with Traralgon were victorious by
100 points over Bairnsdale, 20.14 (134) to 4.19 (34). D’Angelo slotted a major and was named sixth
best for the Maroons.

In the Ovens and Murray League, Will Sexton played with Yarrawonga. They took on Corowa
Rutherglen and managed a win, 14.14 (98) to 11.7 (73) in the Round 15 clash.

In the VAFA, Charlie Beasley and Old Trinity went down by four points to Old Brighton, 9.6 (60) to
6.10 (46). After another solid performance, Beasley was again named in the Grammarians best
players this week, first best.

In the Ballarat Football Netball League, Jayden Eales and the Sunbury Lions managed a 59-point win
over Melton South, 19.13 (127) to 10.8 (68).
