Box Hill Hawks update – Monday 15th June 2020

Box Hill Hawks welcomes the Victorian Government’s announcement yesterday that community football full-contact training for adults can resume from Monday 13 July with full-contact competition resumption from Monday 20 July.

We want to thank the Victorian Government for their support of Victorian football and thank the community and our health and essential workers – and the wider Victorian community – for an environment where community sport can resume.

We remain committed to working with AFL Victoria as well as the other aligned and standalone VFL clubs, and will do everything we can to get a VFL season started in 2020.

As we prepare to move toward contact-training and competition play, Box Hill Hawks will work with AFL Victoria and all players, coaches, umpires and volunteers to ensure we return to competition play in an effective and safe manner with adherence to Victorian Government guidelines and AFL Return to Play Framework (RTP Framework).

We know how much community football means to our members, supporters, family and friends and we look forward to working together to ensuring Box Hill Hawks return to play in a safe and well managed environment.

We look forward to providing a further update in the coming days once we have more details.
