Round 5 Ins & Outs
Sam Mitchell will have a strong twenty-two at his disposal for Sunday’s visit of North Melbourne, recalling four AFL-listed Hawks and a talented trio of ex-AFL talent who now call City Oval home.
Daniel Howe, Josh Morris, Jon Ceglar and Emerson Jeka are the headline inclusions to a team looking to bounce back from a last start defeat, whilst the returning Cal Porter, Trent Mynott and Ed Phillips will each add run and ball-winning ability to the Hawks’ midfield mix.
Vincent Adduci and Fergus Greene have each been managed given their prominent roles in the Club’s heavy preseason schedule, though the pair have been retained as emergencies in the event of any late changes.
Eastern Ranges product Tyler Sonsie, who played and kicked two goals on VFL debut last week, has been omitted having had an interrupted week in training, while Josh Deluca has suffered a hamstring strain and begun a rehabilitation program.
Our final squad will be confirmed at 11:35am, half-an-hour prior to the first bounce.
Box Hill and Hawthorn fans unable to attend will be able to catch the match live on Channel 7.
Ins: Howe, Morris, Ceglar, Jeka, Porter, Mynott, E Phillps
