Hawks Set for a Bayside Battle Against Sandringham

The Box Hill Hawks head bayside this Saturday to face Sandringham in Round 5 of the 2026 VFL Premiership Season, with the Hawks looking to build on strong recent form against the Zebras.

The last time these two sides met was in Round 15 of the VFL 2025 season, where Box Hill delivered a commanding performance at Box Hill City Oval. The Hawks produced a convincing 44-point margin to secure a 100-56 victory.

It was a performance built on consistency across four quarters, with Box Hill controlling the contest and capitalising on their opportunities going forward. Their ability to lift the intensity late in the game proved decisive, turning a competitive contest into a comfortable victory.

Heading into this weekend, the Hawks will be aiming to replicate that level of control and composure, particularly against a Sandringham side that is always difficult to beat on their home deck. Clean ball movement, pressure around the contest, and efficiency inside 50 will again be key factors.

With momentum starting to build early in the season, Box Hill will be keen to deliver another strong performance and continue their push up the ladder.
