Selection: Hawks Welcome Back Two For Qualifying Final
The Box Hill Hawks have made two changes ahead of this Saturday’s Qualifying Final showdown with Southport, re-gaining gun wingman Kye Declase and Hawks flyer Josh Weddle.
Declase returns for his first run out since the round 15 win over Sandringham in early July, while Weddle will be on managed minutes as he looks to press his case for a senior recall in time for Hawthorn’s Elimination Final against GWS next weekend.
Out of the side which fell to Casey a fortnight ago are swingman Sam Durdin and developing half-forward Tom Farrer – each of whom can consider themselves unlucky to miss, but have been retained among Box Hill’s emergencies.
The Hawks come into the clash with 16 AFL-listed players supported by seven VFL-listed boys and will be hunting a first Preliminary Final appearance since 2023 – and a first home Preliminary Final since 2010.

Any changes to the selected 23 will be communicated prior to Satuday’s first bounce, which is scheduled for 12:35pm
