Selection: Six Changes For Seagulls Test
The Box Hill Hawks have made six changes to the team which defeated Essendon last weekend and will venture out to Point Gellibrand this Sunday afternoon.
Returning to the line-up following stints on the sideline are Sam Butler and Bodie Ryan, while dashing half-backs Changkuoth Jiath and Seamus Mitchell will add their ball-winning x-factor to the Hawks’ back six.
In and around the ball Box Hill also regain the class and composure of Cam Mackenzie and Kye Declase.
Out of the team go the elevated pair of Mitch Lewis and Jack Scrimshaw, both having been rewarded for standout displays last week with a senior re-call, while the developing quartet of Lane Ward, Jack Sammartino, Blake Simondson and Griff Julian are somewhat unlucky to be omitted.
It’s testament to the strength of the Hawks’ ins and the relative health of the senior AFL list that Box Hill will field a 16-7 split of AFL-VFL listed talent, which, unfortunately for the omitted group of up-and-comers, necessitates their omissions.
With the senior Hawthorn side scheduled to play on Saturday in Tasmania, Sunday afternoon is a great opportunity for Hawks fans to get their footy fix. So get out to Williamstown if you can to take in a huge double header against an old rival.
Our VFLW side get the action underway from 11:05am, before the VFL team take the field at 2:05pm.
Any changes to the selected 23 will be communicated prior to Sunday’s first bounce.
