VFLW coaches votes, R9: McRae leads the way

Box Hill midfielder Grace McRae topped the VFLW Coaches MVP votes in Round 9 for the Hawks, following her team’s one-point win over Carlton at Box Hill City Oval on Saturday.

McRae was instrumental in the win and was therefore awarded eight votes. 

The leadership group member tallied 16 disposals, four marks and four tackles on the day.

Star winger Akayla Peterson was next best with five votes, with identical stats to McRae.

Peterson also had 16 disposals, four marks and four tackles on the day whilst also totaling two clearances.

Defender Ellie McLinden rounded out the votes, receiving two.

McLinden had 13 disposals, took three marks and laid two tackles in a solid performance across the backline.

Maddie Boyd still leads the way in coaches votes for Box Hill, polling 28 votes so far this season to sit in eighth place overall.
