Team News: Hawks Make Five Changes For Lions Visit
The Box Hill Hawks return to action on Saturday afternoon as they host the visiting Brisbane Lions.
Zane Littlejohn and his match committee have made five changes to the side which secured a stirring, last gasp victory against Sandringham a fortnight ago, having looked to have had the game well in hand for much of the afternoon.
Into the 23 comes Jai Serong, Finn Maginness and Henry Hustwaite, while ruckman Ned Reeves has recovered from the finger injured which has sidelined him of late.
Former Eastern Ranges junior Jye Peacock has been named to make his VFL debut, having impressed in training and built a strong run of form at community clubs level.
Changkuoth Jiath saw his excellent return to football in Wonthaggi rewarded with a senior recall last weekend, while Cooper Stephens has unfortunately picked up a niggle which will sideline him for the visit of Brisbane.
The unlucky trio to feel the selection squeeze are Nathan Philactides, Andreas Stefanakis and Ben De Bolfo – though they have been retained as emergencies alongside Kye Agosta, Josh Tovey and Andrew Mathieson.
Any changes to the Hawks’ game day 23 will be communicated prior to Saturday’s first bounce, which is scheduled for 1:05pm.
