TEAMS: VFLW Round 7
A week after coming up against the reigning premiers Darebin, our VFL Women’s side will again be tested in their Round 7 clash against ladder leaders Diamond Creek at Box Hill City Oval this Saturday at 11am.
Box Hill were far from disgraced against the Falcons and may well enter the new challenge battle-hardened. The resilience of the Hawks will be tested as they put into practice the lessons they learnt against Darebin.
Diamond Creek have won five of their six games and claimed top position when they rolled the VU Western Spurs in Round 6. Their dynamic forward line has been their strength with Chloe Molloy, Sophie Abbatangelo and Christina Bernardi making up three of the top five VFL Women’s goalkickers.
Monique Trusler is set to make her VFLW debut after being named in the forward pocket. We could also see a second debutant with Olivia Goder named on the extended bench. Claire Dyer and Jasmin Harrison are chances to return to the side after also being included on the extended bench.
