Community Clubs May 28
Another great weekend of local footy has passed, and the results are a little mixed. Some great wins across the board, with a few losses in between. Our Hawks received more mentions in the best player list, with a couple more snagging some goals too.
VFL: In Round 7 of the Eastern Football Netball League, Billy Hicks, Nathan Philactides and the Blackburn Seniors had a massive victory after smashing the Noble Park Seniors by 63 points, 20.12 (132) to 10.9 (69). Billy had an incredible game kicking a whopping 7 goals! Along with fellow Hawks teammate Nathan who kicked a goal, the boys were able to contribute greatly to their team’s success. Billy received 2nd on the list of best players for Saturday’s game.
Lachie Guymer and the East Ringwood Seniors defeated Josh Tovey and the Norwood Seniors by a solid 80 points on the weekend, 16.22 (118) to 5.8 (38). Lachie secured a goal for East Ringwood, along with Joshreceiving 1st named for best players and a goal under his belt for Norwood.
Jett Latchford and the Ringwood Seniors were unfortunately defeated by just 12 points against the Mulgrave Seniors, 10.17 (77) to 14.5 (89). Jett had a great game and finished 3rd named in the best player list during Round 8.
In Round 7 of the Northern Football Netball League, Kye Agosta and the Hurstbridge Seniors had an incredible win over the weekend after defeating Greensborough by 55 points, 17.10 (112) to 7.15 (57). Kye kicked 1 goal!
Round 9 of the Coates Talent League saw Remy Maclean, Iliro Smit and the Eastern Ranges emerged victorious against the Bendigo Pioneers, 14.17 (101) to 13.8 (86). Remy had an unreal game with 4 goals and landed as 1st named in the best player list.
In Round 8 of the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League, Seth Harris and the Frankston Bombers had a terrible loss against Mt. Eliza as they were defeated by 61 points on Saturday, 6.9 (45) to 16.10 (106). Sethreceived 4th in the best player list.
Round 7 of the Victorian Amateur Football League found Andrew Mathieson and the St Kevins Seniors with a close 2 point win against the Old Scotch Seniors, 11.12 (78) to 11.10 (76).
Round 7 of the Gippsland League with Zach Felsbourg and the Maffra Seniors lost by 8 points against Moe, 12.8 (80) to 14.4 (88). Zach received 2nd named in the best player list.
VFLW: In Round 7 of the Victorian Amateur Football League, Taylah Canobie and the St Kevins Seniors defeated Erin Woodford, Amber Sciacca and the Old Yarra Cobras by 34 points, 6.7 (43) to 1.3 (9). Erin was 5th named in the best player list.
Bella Gray and the Old Scotch Seniors were victorious on Saturday after defeating Tayissa Gray and the Collegians Seniors by 47 points, 8.7 (55) to 1.2 (8).
Round 8 of the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League found Elise Molesworth, Alisha Molesworth and the Warragul Industrials with a DRAW against Seaford. Despite the draw, Elise and Alisha both made mention in the best player list with Elise also kicking 2 goals on Saturday.
Round 7 of the Outer East Football Netball League, Paula Pavic and the Healesville Seniors had a smashing win against Belgrave Seniors, after defeating them by 68 points, 11.4 (74) to 0.2 (2).
Lily Carlin and Olinda Ferny Creek defeated the Berwick Springs Seniors by 46 points on the weekend, 7.12 (54) to 1.2 (8). Lily was 5th named in the best player list.
Sky Wilson and the Woori Yallock Seniors lost by 12 points against the Monbulk Seniors, 1.8 (14) to 4.2 (26). Sky received 1st in the best player list!
In Round 8 of the Coates Talent League, Georgia Templeton and the Dandenong Stingrays had a win over the Sydney Swans Academy, defeating them by 15 points, 7.7 (49) to 5.4 (34).
