Selection: Hawks Host Lions In Top Four Tussle
The Box Hill Hawks have made three changes to the side which defeated Gold Coast last weekend, as they set themselves for the visit of the Brisbane Lions on Saturday.
The Lions sit fourth on the VFL ladder going into the match-up and roll into Box Hill City Oval boasting an impressive five-and-one record on the season.
Into Zane Littlejohn’s matchday squad come experienced defender Sam Frost, exciting half-back Bailey Macdonald and the high flying Calsher Dear.
These additions come at the expense of first-year back Noah Mraz, who misses the match while in concussion protocols, livewire small forward Matt Hill, who tweaked an ankle early in last weekend’s win up north and skipper Cal Porter, who has been managed.
Vice-Captain Stu Horner has been named to captain the side in the absence of Porter.
All told there are 13 AFL-listed and 10 VFL-listed Hawks set to welcome the Lions, with all eyes on securing the win which will see the team keep pace with the table-topping GWS.
Any changes to the selected 23 will be communicated prior to Saturday morning’s first bounce.
