VFL Round 12 Selection: Hawks Recall Three

Box Hill have made three changes to its squad for Saturday’s visit of the undefeated, ladder leading Brisbane Lions.

The experienced Chad Wingard, the versatile Emerson Jeka and the exciting Jed Rule all come into the 23, adding front-half firepower to a Hawks outfit looking to bounce back from a last start defeat.

Wingard and Jeka will be making their on field returns following stints on the sideline with calf and hamstring issues, respectively, while Rule features for the first time since kicking four goals in the round one victory against Sydney.

Clay Tucker and Stu Horner are both carrying niggles and will be managed, while Mitch Sruk makes way as the 23rd man for the promoted Jed Rule.

All told the squad is made up of 16 AFL-listed and seven VFL-listed players, with Max Hall, Darcy Murr, Liam Coghlan and Sruk to be held in reserve as emergencies.

The final, match day 23 will be confirmed prior to the first bounce, which is scheduled for 12:05pm.
