2023 Administrative Structure Confirmed

With the official start of pre-season approaching, the Box Hill Hawks wish to advise our stakeholders, members and fans of the current composition of the Club’s administration and football program.

As Club’s preparations for 2023 get underway, our front office will be spearheaded by Pat Clancey as General Manager.

In his second season at City Oval, Clancey’s remit as GM includes oversight of the Hawks’ commercial operations, community programs, football departments, staff and volunteers.

As VFL Football Operations Manager, Harry Rooke will play a leading hand in the delivery of the Club’s VFL program, while Danii San Jose has been designated the Hawks’ Community and Admin Manager.

Keegan Brooksby will take on an expanded role as Talent Manager & Box Hill Football Operations Manager to support list management and high performance across our VFL & VFLW programs.

“As we considered how best to navigate the coming pre-season and the change it represented on and off-field, we quickly realised continuity was the answer,” said Box Hill President Ed Sill.

“Each of Pat, Harry, Keegan and Danii are what we consider Box Hill people and the opportunity to promote from within ended up being an easy decision.

“Pat joined us ahead of the 2022 season and did a wonderful job re-setting the commercial side of the business out of Covid. He has a wealth of experience from time spent at the AFL and grassroots levels of the game and there’s no doubt we’re better for having him be a part of our footy club.

“In the case of Harry and Danii, we’ve two developing talents we’re so fortunate to call our own. Really, this is what we’re about as a football club.

“For them, greater responsibility in their respective roles is a recognition of the work they’ve done to date and a deserved next step in their professional development.

“In Keegan we’ve a development-focused ex-pro whose expertise will be invaluable as we rejuvenate our playing stocks on the VFL side, build our VFLW program and continue to underpin it all with our Hawks Academy.

“It’s an exciting time of year, we’re all about to come back together and attack the pre-season. We’ll continue to fine tune and add to our staff over the coming weeks and months, particularly in the VFLW space, and will advise our members and supporters of these additions in due course.”
