TEAMS: Round 5

Our men’s squads welcome a pair of Tigers to Box Hill City Oval this Sunday, with the senior side taking on Richmond and our young guns tackling Werribee.

Having sung the song in the visitor’s dressing rooms of Footscray, Williamstown and Geelong, the seniors return to Box Hill City Oval flying high. They sit in a share of top spot – percentage separates them and Port Melbourne – and will be out to shore up a top-two spot with another winning performance.

The Hawks’ only home match of the season thus far delivered a result for the record books and a handful of double takes in the direction of the scoreboard. The quarter time score read a scarcely believable 11.3. 69 to 0.0. 0 in the Brown and Gold’s favour.

The Hawks and Tigers are just two of three teams that average over one-hundred points a game in the first four rounds, which sets up a potentially high-scoring affair.

Having returned from injury and against his old side, off-season recruit Andrew Moore will be keen to build on his 22 possession effort last weekend. The utility has put together two solid weeks after missing the first two matches of the season and looms as an important figure in the Hawks’ forward line and midfield.

Please note: teams will be finalised one hour before the bounce.
